Harwan

I named this collection ‘Harwan’ after the stunning area of Harwan in the picturesque city of Srinagar as an ode to Kashmir this year. Spring Summer ‘23 is all about joy, beauty and celebrating a piece of heaven that I found on my journey to Kashmir, long on my travel bucket list. The hand drawn floral motifs were a personal discovery of the beauty of the flora in Harwan as the base of the Zabarwan Hills. Petunias, Foxgloves, Kashmiri roses, pot marigolds and salvias come to life in this collection. The Mughal rose gardens of Nishat and Pari Mahal circa 1600 AD come to life in this collection set against the backdrop of the romantic sun rays setting on the Dal Lake, the most intricate waterways in Srinagar. The collection is an ode to the magnificence of Mughal gardens and the flora growing nonchalantly in the wild in the hills and at my favourite spot in Sringar at Nadis, the most charming boutique hotel at the base of the hills.
